Greeting cards can be made from recycled materials. In this card making we need floppy disk as material. The movable record player greeting card is made from an upcycled floppy disk.

The disk part of a floppy disk is like a record, you need a little time to turn it to a turntable greeting card. The good news is that your handmade greeting cards are assembled with brads. It makes the record spins and the player arm moves too.For this card making project you’ll need:

    * an old floppy disk
* a screwdriver
* scissors
* hole punches
* blank greeting cards or cardstock to make your own
* small brads
* cardstock or corrugated paper for the record player arm
* embellishment items: stamps, collage paper, glue stick, etc.

Start by busting into the floppy disk. Pull off the protective flap and slide the screwdriver between the plastic sides and twist to pop it open.

You’ll just be using the magnetic disk itself.

Lay the disk on the card and mark spots in the middle of the disk and where the arm of the record player will be located.

Punch these with small holes. You can use a narrow punch like this one, a darning needle, or whatever else you have handy.

Attach the disk to the card with a brad. I like to punch a larger circle of paper to go between them.

Cut a thin strip of stiff paper to be the arm of the turntable. Punch a small hole in one end and attach it with the second brad.

Rain sound is unique. Your kids will like to hear it from a rain stick. How to make this rain sound? The way is simple, the sound can be produced by filling rice to this paper rain stick. Feel confuse? So try this tutorial.

Materials:

strips of cardboard,

paper,

tape,

seeds or rice * Cut out two 4 inch circles out of the paper (trace a cereal bowl for the shape).
* Put one over the end of the tube, and fold the sides down, and tape around the tube. Make sure it is well taped on and use sturdy paper so that your Rain Stick won’t leak!
* Cut cardboard strips are narrower than the tube (about 1 inch wide should work). Fold them back and forth like a fan. Put the strips into the tube. The first one should fall to the bottom of the tube. Keep adding strips until they reach the top of the tube.
* Pour in 1/4 cup of rice and 2 tbsp of seeds (dried peas, popcorn, or lentils) into the tube.
* Tape the other circle over the open end of the tube and tape in place.
* Decorate the tube with markers, paints or by gluing on paper or ribbon.

How to make butterfly? It is easy like this paper butterfly. Your kids can do this easily. The tool used here is spray bottle. You’ll need:

Markers*
Pipe Cleaners – cut in half
SPRAY BOTTLE
*Markers NOT marked washable will work best. The color will better withstand the water.How to make butterfly:

Flatten out the coffee filter and let your child decorate it. The more color, the prettier it will turn out. Even a child who is just at the scribbling phase can participate at this step.

Place the decorated coffee filter on a piece of paper or cardboard and let your child (if able) spray it with water. Carefully move the wet filter to a dry spot. Let it dry.

When the decorated filter is dry, pinch it together in the middle.

Fold your pipe cleaner in half and then put it around the pinched part of the coffee filter.

Twist the 2 pipe cleaner ends together. Bend the ends to form antennae.

Doll house can be made from recycled cardboard box. So dont throw away your cardboard, you can create a doll house for your kids. This craft project is cheap and easy.

Here you need scrap wallpaper for beautiful wall of this doll house. You also need paper fasteners to hold the walls. Use the pattern below to make thid doll house. You can make the pattern from single cardboard, but if you only have small cardboard so paper fastener can help you to join cardboard.

Cut out with a craft knife. Where a dotted line is indicated on the pattern, make a light cut with the knife, and use a ruler to fold the cardboard neatly.

Paste different pieces of wallpaper to the walls and on the floors. Mix and match patterns for lots of color and visual interest. Lay flat to dry, under a weight. With a craft knife, trace and cut out windows and doors. To trace the rounded corners, use the handle pattern provided. Trace and cut out notches to insert the shelves.

doll house folded Use a large needle to punch holes through the cardboard tabs along the back of the house and the roof. Punch matching holes in the adjoining pieces of cardboard and assemble with the paper fasteners. Then, insert the shelves. The house is finished!
In this paper craft we let your kids to make their kaleidoscopes. This kaleidoscopes for kids are simple enough to make, however they will need your help.

As for kaleidoscope itself, according to Wikipedia: A kaleidoscope is a tube of mirrors containing loose coloured beads, pebbles, or other small coloured objects. The viewer looks in one end and light enters the other end, reflecting off the mirrors.

The material used in kids Kaleidoscopes:

    * paper
* card
* crayons
* glue stick
* model glue
* tinfoil
* plastic bags
* glitter and sequins
* tape

How to make kaleidoscopes:

We started with paper and crayons and decorated away…

We stuck our decorated paper onto construction paper to make them a bit sturdier.

We took some stiff card and stuck some foil onto it… shiny side facing out.

We made three folds and four sections in our foil covered card. We put model glue along the one side and folded them into “tri-angular tubes.” We glued them shut pegged them in place and waited for them to dry.

While the glue was drying we made little circles out of plastic bags. We made a strip of glue around the one circle and dropped glitter and sequins into the center of the circle. Then we dropped the other plastic circle on top and left them to dry too. Now we had little pockets filled with glitter and sequins.

We rolled our decorated paper around our “triangular tubes” and then glued them down.

We cut out black circles from card and made a hole with a pencil through the center. Then folded them over the one end and taped them on. (We had lost patience with waiting for glue to dry – tape to the rescue!).

This paper craft is about making a simple paper bookmark. Like the screenshot it is very easy and cool too. You can prepare your loved artificial flower, strong glue, your photostrip (if you have and you choose it), carton paper and so on.

This examples have used the little thumbnail photo sheets you get back when ordering prints. You can make bookmarks with them by cutting strips, gluing to cardstock and affixing flowers with silver brads. They look so pretty peeking out of books, and it’s a fun surprise to open and see the photos tucked away inside.

Egg carton usually is thrown away. In this eco craft, you are told about the carton game made from recycled egg carton. You certainly know or often find this kind of carton game… . The kids especially little girls will like to play this board game.

Now in this eco craft, you dont have to buy anymore for this board game. Your egg carton can be recycled to be this cool board game.

In this eco craft you’ll need:

* Egg Carton (the paperboard kind, so you can paint and decorate)
* 48 small Pebbles or Rocks (look in the yard)
* Acrylic Paint

How to make this board game:

1) Separate the lid of the egg carton from the bottom part with the cups. Trim off any excess so you have a smooth edge.

2) Cut the lid in half, lengthwise. Place the 2 halves under the bottom part with the cups. To make a tray at each end, extend these pieces out about 2 inches, letting it fit snugly into the grooves of the egg carton. This tray area is called the mancala.

3) Put glue on the bottom of each of the 4 cups that will be sitting snuggly on the top. Put glue the sides that match up, too.

Use clips to hold the sides in place until it is dry.

4) Once it is dry, you could remove the clips. Now it is time to paint and decorate your mancala board. Acrylic paints work best. You can make stripes or polka dots, you can sponge paint, splatter paint, and even add puffy paints for more dimension. It is up to you – remember, you’re the artist, or better yet, let the kids pick the paint colors and design!

5) You can paint all the small pebble playing pieces, too. In fact, finding the 48 small pebbles is an activity in itself! If pebbled are not available, you can also use buttons, beads, marbles, or beads.

6) Once the board and pieces are completely dry, it is time to play!

Your carton game has done.

Paper edging can produce scissor holder like this craft project. In this paper craft we will make scissor holder from used cardboard. What do you think? Now you dont have to feel mess anymore with your scissors.

In this paper edging you need:

*  Recyclable corrugated cardboard
* Cutting tools (craft knife, box cutter)
* Band saw
* Glue
* Cardstock
* Decorative elements

How to make scissor holder:

# First, cut corrugated cardboard into 4×4 inch squares.

# Use band saw if available, if not, use craft/box knife.

# Cut as many pieces as you need. My project required 3 pieces for each scissor, plus 2 end pieces.

# Glue pieces together with white glue. I added 4×4in. pieces of cardstock between every third piece as separators.

# Place end pieces on cube, then add weight to the cube and let dry for a few hours.

# Decorate the cube if desired, use colored paper, cloth, collage pictures from magazines, etc.

Your paper edging project has done.

This green craft lets you make seed paper, so that someone can plant it. The materials used in this natural craft are cheap enough and you can find them in your home, except for the seeds.

This plantable paper is also can be made by the help of your kids. You can use a small embroidery hoop for the frame to get a circular shape, but you can use old picture frames or whatever you have on hand.

One benefit of the embroidery hoop is that it can be stapled with an office stapler rather than a heavy-duty staple gun. you can use pretty much any type of paper that does not have a shiny coating — office paper, envelopes, toilet paper tubes, card stock, newspaper, etc. You will want to use some heavyweight paper or cardboard in the mix to get a nice thick piece of paper. For the drying surface, you’ll need something absorbent that won’t leave too much of an imprint on your paper, keeping in mind that colored paper may bleed onto the fabric. You can use flannel, but you could try felt, old t-shirts or dish towels.

You can try several different seeds (zinnia, lavender and basil), but you could use any seed that is flat enough to adhere to the paper.

Supplies for this seed paper green craft:

* 3″ embroidery hoop
* Stapler
* Floral tape or duct tape
* Mesh screen
* Paper
* Blender
* Bowl
* Pressed flowers
* Seeds
* Fabric
* Sponge

How to make the plantable paper natural craft:

1. Cut the screen just larger than the embroidery hoop and staple it to the outside.
2. Secure the screen and cover the staples with waterproof floral tape or duct tape.
3. Tear the paper into small pieces and add it to the blender until it’s about half-full (oops, she’s filled it up too much in this photo). Add warm water until the blender is 2/3 full and blend until the paper is completely processed with no lumps.
4. Dip the screen into the pulp and, holding it level, scoop pulp on top of the frame.
5. While you are holding it on the frame, allow it to drip and sprinkle on some pressed flowers and seeds.
6. In one quick motion, flip the paper onto the fabric and before removing the frame, press with a sponge to remove excess water. Once you have removed the frame, you can press again to remove more water.

Allow the paper to dry on the fabric for a few hours, then carefully peel it up and move it to a dry surface, then let it dry overnight. If you put the paper out in the sun, it will dry quickly. I think these would be pretty with rubber stamp imprints, punched hole designs, or stamped letters.
