Table covers can be made from various material. Of of them is satin fabric. This shine fabric will give your table a nice look. Besides satin you can also use silk fabric that has similar characteristic to satin. This table cover picture shows you an example of silk table cover. I meet this table cover on my aunt’s home. This is very simple and you can put a small centerpiece in the center.

Dont forget to put thin foam layer under the satin or silk surface. The remaining process is easy. Put a lace and another decor in the edge like pictured in this round table cover.

This recycle bag is made from denim fabric. It is very easy to make and needs short time.

Recycle bag materials:

(2) each fabric: 14 1/2″ x 11″ – these are the walls
(1) piece fabric: 8 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ – bottom
(2) lengths ribbon or icord: 35″ – handles

Recycle bag tools:

Sewing Machine, Scissors, Ruler
Assembling the WallsTake 1 piece of 14 1/2″ x 11″ fabric. Fold over the sides 1/4″ & iron.

Fold the top down 1/2″. Iron. Fold down another 1/2″ & iron.

This will be your casing. Fold the sides in as you fold over that top.

Do the other rectangle. With top folded over twice, stitch along bottom edge of casing. Backstitch at beginning & end. Grab your other rectangle & just keep stitching through without cutting the thread. It’s much faster.

With right sides together, line up the edges of the two rectangles. Sew along that 1/4″ line you creased with the iron. The foot should stop about 1/2″ below the casing. Backstitch. Do other side.

Now you have a tube for the walls. Grab the bottom piece & turn it upside down. Line up the edges with the tube bottom, making sure to place the corners along those side seams. Use a 1/4″ stitch. When you come within 1/4″ of each edge, just put your needle down into the fabric, lift the foot & pivot the fabric. Backstitch the beginning & end.

Using a large drawstring needle or a safety pin, pull one handle length through one casing, out the other end. Put it into other casing & pull through to other side. Tie two knots, one above the other. You can also pull the knot through & hide it in the casing. Take the other length of ribbon & insert it into the other side of the bag, & pull through entire bag. Tie off.

Pull each side a bit & even out the gathers. Insert your bento boxes, mat & napkins!

Recycled bag is one of the alternative you can do with your old goods. This one is recycled bag from old suit pants. This recycled bag is cool and nice.

Your old suit pants can be formed to other recycled craft like pillow, breadbag, little pants, bracelet and many more. This photos and guide will teach you how to make a bag from old suit pants easier. In this guide you will learn how to make a bag for your camera.

How to make a bag:

Turkish crafter over at thelightgarden.blogspot.com has teached this guide.

1. I found an old pair of Senols suit pants – the style with the tab that goes over to the button (as this will form the closure on the camera pouch). To get the right size for my camera I first put the camera directly below the button on the pants and wrapped the material up the sides. I added an extra couple of centimetres on each side for ‘room to move’ and I also added an extra couple of centimetres on each side for seams…and just in case! This forms ‘Piece 1′ – the front of the pouch.

2. ‘Piece 2′ of the pouch (the back) needs to be with the tab from the pants at the top as indicated in the photo. I made this piece roughly the size of the back of my camera (with some room to move) plus 2cm on the sides and bottom to allow for the seams.

3. First, to sew up one side of the camera pouch I pinned the two pieces together. However because piece 2 already had a nice finished edge, I wanted this to show, so instead of pinning them right sides facing, I pinned it with the piece 2 at the back with piece 1 on top (you can see this in the photo). Then I sewed along the right side of the already finished edge (about 2mm inwards) to join the pieces.

4. Then you folded along the new join so that the right sides of each were facing and sewed along the second side seam.

5. Then you moved the tube of material around so that the button and the tab were lined up, then pinned and sewed the bottom of the pouch like that.

6. Then it just needed to be turned out the right way and the recycle bag was finished!

Marble maze game is liked by many children. While previously we learned how to make a marble maze game from wood, now we would like to make marble maze game for traveling. As it is for traveling so it is very simple. This marble maze game is made from fabric.

Actually you can make more complex pattern marble mazes for this craft project. This is an example you can try.How to make the marble maze craft project:

You started with two 4 1/2 x6 1/2 inch pieces of fabric.

With right sides together you sewed a small quarter inch seam around the edge, leaving a small opening.
Clip corners, then turn right side out.

Sew the maze pattern on your fabric ( make sure you leave enough room for the marble to go through the maze), put the marble inside and then sew up your opening.

How to make necklace from scraps? Do you have many scraps in your home? Dont throw them away as you can still use them for something cool, like this necklace from recycled scrap.

How to make this necklace?

1. Take your scrap fabric, I cut a .5”-1” snip and tear the rest of the fabric down for a nice frayed edge. Used 3 different fabrics for each strand.
2. Take 3 of the torn pieces and tie the ends together with a rubber band.
3. Braid the 3 pieces together and tie ends together with rubber band when done.4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for more strands. Remember you can make the strands any length you want, if run out of fabric, just weave more into the braid.
5. Once all the strands you want are braided, gather one end of each strand together and straight stitch together with sewing machine. Repeat for the other ends of the strands. Snip off any excess.
6. Gather ends of the necklace and sew together (snip excess) or a ribbon can be sewn at the ends to be able to tie the necklace closed, but I just sewed both ends together.
7. Voila! A nice way to make use of all your lovely scraps.

Steps:
-Draw face shape onto face with pencil.
-Paint face and top of pin in your choice of flesh color. Let dry. Repeat.

-Cut a 5″ circle out of fabric. Cut a small hole in the middle and 2 small slits for the arms a bit down from the middle hole.

-Cut a small piece of flesh colored pipe cleaner and gluse to center back of clothespin.

-Slip fabric over the “neck” of the pin. Slip “arms” into slits.
-Tie a small piece of ribbon around the waist and tie in a bow in the center back.

-Glue head on doll and tilt to give it a sweet look.
-Glue doll pin into doll stand.

Some tips and tricks:
-Use tape or paper reinforcements on “legs” to make stripes or polka dots.
-You can leave the arms free or twist them together and glue something into the doll’s hand. I used a mushroom in the pic above.
-You can also buy wooden spools and paint them and attach just the heads for fun trim and ribbon holders.

Step stool can be used for your kids or adults to help their work or just for exercise or play. Most of us usually buy step tool from the shop. It can be made from plastic or other. But this idea is really good, making step stool by your self. Easy and cheap…this kids stepping stool using the recylced material and fabric.

Steping stools material:

-1 orange box (or appropriate size box)
-a whole lot of paper recycling
-duct or packing tape
-non-slip surface (for the bottom)
-a waterproof covering (second hand shower curtain, outdoor table cloth, or, as I used, a Dad’s Oatmeal cookie bag)
-unloved second hand sweater (the larger the better) or agreeable fabric
-an empty milk container (waxed paper kind), a touch of funtack, and a sharpie (or other waterproof, permanent marker)Get a box from cardboard, fill it with used papers and stack them. Then wrap your box using plastic layer to make it waterproof and secure it with tape.

If possible put the non slip surface at the bottom of your box.

Then you are ready to make your box cover:

First measure three sides: the longer side, up over the top, and back down the other side to the ground. Add 2 inches (this will be the bottom hem). This is measurement A.

Then measure two sides: the shorter side across to the longer side. Add 1/2 inch (this is a seam allowance). This is measurement B.

From your fabric (or second hand sweater), cut a rectangle of measurement A by measurement B.

Fold your rectangle in half, wrong sides together, with the measurement B sides together. Use a 1/4″ seam allowance to stitch closed the B sides, forming a bag.

Use a 1″ hem to finish the open edge of the bag (or use your serger to finish the edge if you are using horrible fun fur – the third most horrible type of fabric to work with).

To finish the cover, slip it over the stool.

If you are wanting to make ears, like my monster cover, then put the bag on right side out. If you are wanting a less bizarre cover, put the cover on wrong side out.

You can put the non slip surface on the side and top of your box.

Your step stool has done…

How to make apron is really easy. Just see this example of multipurpose apron. You can tie this apron to your body when you are in work. The apron is made using fabric. Choose the fabric with bright color so your apron will be cool like this one.

The first step seems to prepare your apron pattern. Then arrange them one by one. You need a sewing machine to make this apron. But if you dont want to use it, just use a needle and thread for your work.

This apron is made with 3 layers. The bottom layer (blue fabric) is for things like bottle and so on, so you need to make a folded pocket in this area. The way is simple, just see thru the image above.

This fabric craft can be done by your children, so that this one is also a kids craft. But of course they need your supervision for this job, tie dying. This classic crafting will result in ’sunburst’ pattern. We even dont need a washing machine.

So how to make this tie dying fabric craft?

You’ll need :

    * Tie dye (Hot water dye is the best because it won’t run out. It is purchased from most chemists and specialty stores from $3.00 to $5.00.)
* T-shirt, handkerchief, shorts, almost anything that might be of interest dying
* Large pot — metal because the dye does stain wood
* Water
* Spoon to stir around with
* Tongs
* Rubber bandsHow to make it:

   1. Take article of clothing, gather up a bundle and wrap around the rubber band tightly.
2. Do this in numerous spots all over the article so that circles will turn up everywhere you want.
3. Boil some water in a large pot and when boiling tip dye in (sometimes you don’t even need to use the whole pot of dye). Add article and stir for around 30 minutes on high.
4. When finished, take out with tongs and run under cold water to make sure all extra dye runs out.
5. Dry, then take off lackey bands (rubber bands), iron and your piece is ready to use.

Your tie dyeing craft has done.
