Kids Crafts: How to Make Soap from Snow

In this kids crafts the kid will learn how to make soap from snow. The winter season will come often in our life. So why not make your kids feel excite when at that time? Making a snowman, throwing snowballs are the most activity they like. But now we teach them something different, how to make soap from snow.
This kids craft is easy to make, you just need 4 bars of ivory soap, 1/2 cup of lukewarm water. Pick some kid toys (like penguin) if you like to put them inside. This picture comes without that plastic toys as the maker couldn’t find the toys anywhere near him.How to make soap:
Using a cheese grater, grate the bars of soap and transfer to a large bowl. Little ones need supervision for this part.
Gradually add the lukewarm water (we added a few drops of peppermint extract to the water for a nice minty smell) and work the mixture to the consistency of clay. Shape the mixture in to snowballs.
Once you shape the snowballs, place them on a tray to dry. Usually it tooks about 24 h to completely dry. If you are adding the toy penguins you add them as you are creating the soapballs. We also thought it would look nice if you sprinkled the snowballs with a bit of glitter before letting them dry.
