Make a Cushion: Felt Flower Cushion
Want to get idea of your used felt? Try this one, a felt flower pin cushion. The first time I look at this, I am not awake if the shape is a flower and then the pins are acted as the stamen. Maybe for this reason, so the background used the green fabric. So this kind of idea is creative. This craft creation comes from Ashley Johnson from http://makeitandloveit.blogspot.com.
Instead of mini candle holder it used for the base, you can also use your mini flower pot, metal pot or small cup. SO, this is the detail guide for this craft project.
Materials:
* Mini Candle Holder (This one is for tea lights. It measures 2 x 2 x 2.5 inches)
* 5x 5 inch square of fabric
* Small pieces of felt or wool felt
* Thread
* Batting
* Hot glue
* Scissors
Instructions:
1. Decide what type of holder you would like to use. (You could also use a mini terracotta flower pot, a small cup, a mini metal pot,etc.)
2. Glue your fabric to two sides of the holder.
3. Start shoving it full with batting. Glue one more side down and shove as much batting in as you can. You want it to be tight with batting so that you can shove pins in.
4. Tuck the last side in and glue it down.
5. Cut out any shape or design out of your felt and then hand stitch it into place.
6. Stick your pins in and now you have them nice and handy. Simple.
