[Glass Coaster] Personalized Coaster

coaster craft project.jpgGlass coaster actually can be personalized. In this craft project we will try to make a personalized coaster. Coaster usually is put below the glass to protect the table from damage as the glass sometimes is fulfilled with hot or cold water. The coaster has varied material such as wood, stainless steel, plastic or even cork and cartoon. In this craft project we use the cork or cartoon as coaster material with stamping technique. The result is the quite emboss accent at the coaster surface. This emboss accent would be good in applying your initial name at the coaster.

The above picture is the example of coaster before processed.

Form your thick cartoon or cork as you want, then give color using poster paint around its surface then leave dry. Then we begin to do stamp process with sticking cap tool at the special glue for stamping. Then take the cap tool and stick it to the coaster. Press strongly so the glue really applied to the coaster. Then sow the special glitter for stamping so the coaster surface that attached with the glue is covered completely with the glitter. Then reverse the coaster so only the sticked glitter will be applied on the coaster. Heat the glitter with the special drier for stamping so the glitter will emboss. The last step is giving the varnish to prevent the poster paint become discolor or fade.
