Clay Pot Craft Project: Natural Stone Accent
This craft project is still about decorated clay pot after the previous post about that. The previous post can be check at this, this and this post. This time we want to applying the natural stone accent to the pot. As known that the original natural stone can be a point of interest in a home appearance. For you that feeling difficult to get this natural stone, let us to make it’s imitation. Mix the white and black paint so its become gray color. Use 1:5 ratio for black and white paint. Then clean up your clay pot from dust and oil to make the paint well sticked. Use sandpaper for the obstinate dirt. The clay pot must be really dry before applying the paint.Then paint the pot surface. Leave dry and if necessary put in the sun for a while. The natural stone accent we make with comb help. Take the black paint with small brush and repeatedly smear it to the slippery surface or plastic. Then you can take a comb and brush repeatedly the brush tip above comb surface so the paint will fall above the pot. Continue this step until the pot surface is covered with black paint spots.
