We gather used books to create texture in room wall. There are 3 steps in this book wall art.
Take the used books and group the books according to its size for easier work. Open the books at its middle part, so the books will have the same thickness within the left and right part.
The books in the open position then be soaked in starch boiled water one by one for 30 minutes. Then drain the books for 15 minutes. Arrange and cling that opened books at the wall with nail. Use the certain arrangement when clinging the books. For example arrange based on its size, start from big books in under part, then middle size books and the small books in top part. You can also use combination arrangement.
After that, paint the books wall. Painting can be done after the starch layer on the books has dried. It takes about 6 hours. The painting technique can be varied, like plain technique or gradation.
