Recycled Paper, How to Process It

We can recycle the used paper become the beauty paper as a material to make variety goods. Most the recycled paper is used to make beauty paper crafts like card, container, book and other craft.

  • Tear the used paper or cut in the small sizes.

  • Soak the paper in a container filled with water.

  • Completely smashed the half-shattered paper with blender or pound it until smooth.

  • Pour the paper solution into big container (that match with screen size). Screen is made from wood or triplex and gauze with smooth holes. Screen contains of 2 frames where the first frame is gave the plastic gauze and the second frame is empty (without gauze). Pour the sufficient water. If want to make thin paper pour much water and pour little of water if want thick paper. You also can add little things such as small flowers, leafs and plant stems or slices of colored papers into the solution to get motif paper. You can also add dye into the solution too, so you will get the recycled paper color as you want.

  • Enter the screen with empty frame on it into the container that has filled with paper solution.

  • As fast as possible pull back the screen, after all screen is layered with paper solution.

  • Let the water drip from the screen, release the empty frame then move screen above a table that has been layered with cloth or thick plastic.

  • Absorb the water with sponge until dry, then lift the screen and recycled paper has been formed on the table.

  • Directly put under the sun but don’t do it until completely dry. Release the paper from the cloth and iron it in order to get flat surface.
