The dry flower and leaf can be used as craft material. One of drying process to get the dry flower for our craft project is simple drying method.
In this method, the liquid in material that will be dried will evaporate slowly until dry. This method can be used with hang the material in a room so the environment water level around the material must be lower than water level in the material.
Tips to speed up drying process and get the perfect dry flower:
· Choose the room with good circulation, dry and warm.
· Tie the flower in small bundles with different size of stem, so the flowers aren’t touched each other.
· Reduce or throw away the leaf in stem.
· The air circulation can be made from fan heater and electric fan.
· To keep the color, drying process can be done in dark room.The room with too hot temperature can cause the dry flower get the dark color and the sepal become curly. Read the rest of this entry »

With drying technique you can enjoy your flower in more long time, even for months. The dry flower also has a pretty appearance like fresh flower. You can use the dry flower for arrangement, card, plant painting, wall decoration and many others craft project.
How to dry up the plant
There are 4 methods you can choose to dry up your flowers. They are simple drying, pressing, drying media (desiccant) and colored preservative solution. Every method has its own benefit and result.

We can recycle the used paper become the beauty paper as a material to make variety goods. Most the recycled papers are used to make beauty craft like card, container, book and other craft.

Tear the used paper or cut in the small sizes.

Soak the paper in a container filled with water.

Completely smashed the half-shattered paper with blender or pound it until smooth.

Pour the paper solution into big container (that match with screen size). Screen is made from wood or triplex and gauze with smooth holes. Screen contains of 2 frames where the first frame is gave the plastic gauze and the second frame is empty (without gauze). Pour the sufficient water. If want to make thin paper pour much water and pour little of water if want thick paper. You also can add little things such as small flowers, leafs and plant stems or slices of colored papers into the solution to get motif paper. Put payet at ‘water’ line
Enter the needle from middle part to outer part of ‘water’ line. Then take 5 sand payet (more or less, match with line length) and draw payets close. Repeat until payets cover all ‘water’ line at the pattern.
Put payet at leaf motif
Enter the needle on the middle part of leaf internode then take out in the tip of leaf. Enter the small flat plate payet and 3-5 sand payet (match with leaf length). Then enter the needle back to middle point of leaf internode, take out to the left edge of leaf then fill with the same amount of payet. Repeat until the leaf form is full. Container that will be used is washed and cleaned up with alcohol or glass cleaner solution. Container usually is a round fish aquarium.

How to dry up the flowers and leafs
Choose the flower and leafs that isn’t too wide. For the leaf you may wash it first, while the flower doesn’t need to wash because its sepal can break. You can use the flower of bougainvillea, small rose, jasmine, grass flower and others. Choose the flowers that don’t have layered sepal. The dark color flower will pale after dried, while the white flower will be brownish.
Arrange the flowers according to its color. Arrange the flower sepal position like you want. Insert it between a piece of paper (cassava, patron or bread paper) and tissue paper. And then insert it in the middle of a thick book. Close and let it for 6 weeks. Read the rest of this entry »
